The intensity of the thrill
We are many, chasing after that “grand thrill,” that electric discharge that seems to slip away as soon as we think we have grasped it. Women and men, through different paths, we all seek this intensity through sacred eroticism, exploring how this experience can transcend simple physical pleasure. What if this burning desire were, in reality, the most powerful lever at our disposal to move beyond our limits and access a form of transcendence?
Ecstasy: Breaking the walls of the “Self”
The word “ecstasy” comes from the Greek ekstasis, which literally means “to be outside of oneself.” That is where the key lies. In our daily lives, we are locked within our social identity. We wear masks that we have learned not to see anymore.
During an erotic embrace experienced with total presence, these walls collapse. It is not just a physical sensation. It is a moment where the individual loses the notion of their own time, their own space, and, above all, their solitude. Like in the deepest prayer, we no longer “think,” we “are.” It is this breaking of boundaries that makes the grand thrill. An experience of non-duality: where there were two beings, there is now only a total unity.
The body as a temple: the flesh is not profane
To reach this transcendence, we must change our perspective. For too long, a reductive moral vision has taught us to separate the “pure soul” from the “impure body.” This is a fundamental error.
If we want to touch the sacred, we must recognize that the body is the temple of this experience. The beauty of a gesture, the grace of skin, the intensity of a breath… All of this is the manifestation of the divine on earth. As the artists of the Renaissance understood, physical perfection is the mirror of spiritual perfection. When we treat the body with this reverence, eroticism becomes a form of healing. It restores dignity where psychological despair threatened to extinguish everything.
Eroticism as a path to knowledge
Ultimately, this quest for the “grand thrill” is a quest for truth. In deep eroticism, all social masks fall away. This total vulnerability is the rawest form of self-knowledge. By accepting to be naked, in both the literal and figurative sense, we stop playing a role and simply become living, vibrant beings.
Eroticism is the spirituality of the flesh, and spirituality is the eroticism of the spirit.
These two engines, when aligned, become a force of incredible resilience. It is this exploration of the zones of shadow and light that I develop throughout my stories, where the law of business finally meets the law of the heart.
